Making Your Own Shampoo

It's enough to scare anyone's curly hair straight with all the news on harmful chemicals these days.  I remember growing up we only had a few shampoos to choose from most based on castile.  With the resurgence back to the basics there has been a big demand for homemade products for bath and beauty.  Heres an easy recipe for homemade shampoo:

**Note:  Not my recipe but one from a collection I have. **

10 drops of your favorite essential oil
1/2 c. water
1 c. soft liquid soap (unscented) or castile
1/2 t. Jojoba, olive, or avocado oil
a bottle with a spray top

Directions:
Add the water, soap and the oils to the bottle and gently shake.  This is a high yield shampoo so you'll only need just a little bit.  You won't need a conditioner after using this shampoo since the oils will help your hair.  If you like, you can replace the water with aloe vera to condition your hair even more.
